April Family Service Day Report

American Pride Williamsburg hosted another successful Family Service Day this past Saturday the 21st! Family Service Day was the outcome of our owner Charlie Marcotte’s desire to give back and serve the local community. Our professional technicians and friendly service writers donated their time and expertise by volunteering for the event. We teamed up with Grove Christian Outreach to serve their clients with free basic car maintenance which includes an oil change and tire rotation. Williamsburg Community Chapel’s Serve the City event provided volunteers to do arts and crafts with the children. Coloring, painting and designing your own flower pot were just some of the activities available. Big Red the Firetruck, American Pride’s mascot, was also on location holding our banner while the children were allowed to climb on him.

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors 1st Advantage Credit Union and Colony Insurance Group we were able to provide two tires for a family whose minivan tires were about to fall apart. During our 31 point check of the vehicle, we noticed the tread on the tires was separating badly and could have blown out at any time. We explained to the client the seriousness of the situation and were able to acquire and install two lightly used tires. The gratitude expressed was more than worth the investment.

Our next Family Service Day will be in September at our Toano location. If you or someone you know that could benefit from these services would like to request an appointment please feel free to contact our Marketing Manager Sharon Oakley at sharon@americanprideautomotive.com.
